Writers Haven

It is an open secret that a writer's potential is seldom tapped to the fullest. There are times when writers wish to dabble into something that delights their soul. It could be a piece of work that captures the true essence of their intellectual premise or reflect the hidden complicated nuances or write about a rhetorical character translucent from the mundane world. Would this fit with the editorial demands of a magazine or publishing house? It is possible but rarity prevails.

It is a common expectation that writers should always write from the view of a magazine’s voice or a newspaper’s editorial readership demographics. Surely, to meet these requirements the writing has to be toned down or molded to meet the publishing trends.

However, writing fruitless articles within a word count and stuffing keywords only because the client demands it, doesn't really enhance any talent. Even so, writers still do it because if they don't someone else will. The writing industry is as competitive as any specialized field, but it rarely gets the deserved credit.

Besides, there are people in this world, who will do anything to get free content. They plagiarize and pretend to be the owners of an article because the real writer is unaware. Furthermore, the author could be residing in a different continent and legal battles are exorbitant. Thus, the writer becomes an easy prey. Some wicked souls trick their writer friends into writing free content for them, manipulating their genial side. While some take articles, spin them around, write their name on it and get it published. And the list of such despicable individuals are unending.

Today, the blogging concept and various micro messaging communities bombard online media with content. Most of them ramble away without a grain of information or even pose an interest of knowing the crux of an issue. The powerful social media giants officially tag them as writers and content providers. The art and skill of writing are downgraded into a casual hobby, a means of getting hits on a website so that search engines can give them a good page rank, high search ability options that bring in traffic and provide monetary benefits. The true, original writer has to crush his feelings and ingenuity to match up, or he starves.

Writers Haven's initiative is to allow writers to process their thoughts on topics that will help them think beyond the search engine optimized content and ponder on themes that allure them to create magic with wordplay.
