Submission Guidelines

Writers Haven proudly awaits to receive submissions from writers around the world. We seek articles, commentaries, translations, travelogues, essays and whatever your heart desires to express, as long as it fits with our themes.We believe that the creative mind cannot be forced to write hastily so we list the themes of our upcoming issues in advance. The Writers Haven experience should be a restful one, where the readers can take in a wonderful read with tranquility and writers are encouraged to elevate their potential. We firmly encourage new writers to build their online writing portfolio with us.

 

Submission Essentials

Article length should be more than 500 words but within the limit of 1200 words. All submissions should be previously unpublished. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable but if the article passes the deadline and it has been accepted somewhere else, then we will not be able to dismiss it. It will be published on Writers Haven. Translations should be submitted with credits given to the original writer.

All content should be submitted within the body of the email, and no attachments will be opened. The response time is usually two weeks.  The author's biography should be around 150 words and in third person. Links to blogs and website can be included. Only tasteful content will be published. Profanity, violence and anything unethical will be rejected instantly.

Verse Land, The Poetry Magazine (Ongoing, No Theme)

This is an exclusive niche for poetry submission. Each week we will feature a poet or poetess and showcase their work. There are no themes and prefer each poem to be within twenty lines. Kindly refrain from submitting dark, gothic poems or sonnets whose underlying meanings indicate violence, bloodshed or torture.

Rights

We ask for First Worldwide Rights and the right to archive on our website. The author retains the rights to their work. As our magazine is at its primary stage, we will pay only one author $10 via PayPal for their best story that matches with the theme and enthralls us. In the future, we plan to publish an anthology. Selected writers will be notified with a contract and royalty details.

Explore urban legends, beliefs, myths and the real stories behind them. Unravel the past, present or create new ones. Weave your stories based on famous legends or re-create them through the eyes of your protagonists.

# Issue 6 Masquerade (Submissions Open)

Whether you are masking the emotions of a serial killer or living your life wearing a pretentious mask, we want to know. Tell us how you interpret a masquerade- a life of deceit, a costume ball or a peel-off beauty mask.

# Issue 7 Secret (Submissions Open)

• We all like to keep our secrets safe but some secrets are best revealed.Share any secret, desire or a funny anecdote that was never meant to be a secret.
